What is the Fear & Greed Index?
The Fear & Greed Index compresses market mood into one number from 0 to 100. Low means fear: people are selling and prices are often already down. High means greed: buyers are chasing and the market is running hot. It says nothing about where the price goes next, it describes how the market feels right now. It is a thermometer, not a forecast.
Market cap, volume and BTC dominance
Market cap is the price times the number of coins in circulation, so it shows how big a coin is rather than whether it is cheap. A low price per coin means little on its own. 24h volume is how much was actually traded: high volume means a move is carried by real activity, thin volume means a price can swing on very little. BTC dominance is bitcoin's share of the total market. When it rises, money is usually moving toward bitcoin; when it falls, capital is spreading into other coins.
Why prices in euro
Most crypto is quoted in dollars, so as a Dutch investor you are always reading through an exchange rate. Shown in euro, a move can look different than in dollars purely because the euro itself moved. That is why we show the market in euro here.
