How does the bot work?

The bot trades fully automatically on AsterDex perpetuals using a proprietary strategy, and profits are auto-compounded. It trades at 1x (no leverage, no liquidations), but it cannot prevent every loss and a loss is always possible. You monitor everything from our web dashboard. You never have to step in, but you always can, it stays your own account.

Can LazyEye take my money? Is this a scam?

No. Your funds stay in your own wallet on AsterDex, and the API key you give AsterDex is trade-only: it lets the bot open and close positions, but it cannot withdraw or move your money. We literally cannot access your funds. Be clear-eyed though: this is real crypto trading and you can lose money. We never promise profit.

Can positions get stuck?

It can. If the market moves against an open position, it stays underwater until it recovers. Meanwhile the bot keeps trading other coins, up to the maximum it holds at once, so the rest carries on while that one waits. Such a recovery can sometimes take a long time, and a loss is always possible. That is also what the small monthly fee is for: it covers server costs during quiet stretches.

Yes, and we would rather say it plainly: investing always carries risk, and our bot is no exception. Profit is never guaranteed. Never put in more than you can lose with peace of mind. How does pricing work?

We charge a 40% performance fee (incl. 21% VAT) on realized profit only, the gain the bot makes on top of your deposit, never on your deposit itself. It's our share of the gains the bot generated for you. In slower months (profit of $50 or less), there's just a €6 flat fee to cover infrastructure. A one-time €6 activation fee gets you started (both incl. 21% VAT).

Why a performance fee instead of a subscription?

Most trading bots charge a fixed monthly fee regardless of performance, so you pay even when the bot loses money. We chose a performance fee model because it fully aligns our interests with yours. We only earn when you earn. If the bot has a bad month with a profit of $50 or less, you only pay the €6 flat fee. If it has a great month with $500 profit, the 40% performance fee (incl. 21% VAT) is $200 and replaces the flat fee. This means we are financially motivated to make the bot as profitable as possible, because our revenue depends on your returns. The 40% is calculated on realized profit only (closed trades), never on unrealized gains or your deposited capital.

Is it difficult to set up?

The hardest part is setting up a MetaMask wallet and connecting it to AsterDex, but our "How To Connect" manual walks you through every step. The bot itself is fully automated. Once connected, it starts trading immediately. If you get stuck, you can always contact us.

AsterDex is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the BNB Smart Chain. The LazyEye bot runs on AsterDex Perpetuals. These are futures contracts without an expiry date. Your funds stay in your own wallet at all times. Visit AsterDex to learn more.

Is my money safe?

Your funds remain in your own wallet on AsterDex at all times. We never have access to withdraw or move your money. The API Wallet you create only allows the bot to place and manage trades. Nothing else. You can verify every trade yourself on the AsterDex frontend at any time.

Can I verify the bot's trades myself?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The bot trades on your own AsterDex account, so you can log in to the AsterDex Perpetuals frontend anytime and see every open position, your trade history, and your balance. Our dashboard shows the same figures, but AsterDex stays your independent source of truth.

What is the minimum investment?

Accepted Answer

There is no hard minimum, but we recommend starting with at least $1,000. Because there is a small fixed monthly platform fee (€6 incl. VAT) that covers server costs even in quiet months, a very small balance means that fee weighs relatively heavily. From around $1,000 it stays a modest part of your account. You can start with less, but keep the fixed fee in mind.

Can I withdraw my funds at any time?

Anytime. Your money sits in your own wallet, so you can withdraw whenever you want, straight from AsterDex. One caveat: withdrawing while the bot has open positions can affect those trades.

Which coins does the bot trade?

Accepted Answer

The bot currently trades USDT-margined perpetual contracts on AsterDex. The specific trading pairs are managed by the bot’s strategy and may be adjusted over time to optimize performance.

What happens in a bear market?

Accepted Answer

A prolonged downtrend can leave open positions waiting longer for recovery. The bot holds these positions and waits for the market to turn rather than locking in losses. In extreme cases, a position may be held for weeks or months until the market recovers. This is by design. The bot does not panic-sell.

Do I need to pay taxes on my profits?

Tax obligations depend on your country of residence. In the Netherlands, crypto holdings are typically taxed under Box 3 (wealth tax). We recommend consulting a tax advisor for your specific situation. LazyEye does not provide tax advice.

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

Early the following month, you receive an invoice by email for the previous month's fee. Payment is via bank transfer (IBAN) and must be completed within 10 days. If payment is not received within this term, your bot will be stopped automatically. Once we confirm payment, your bot restarts immediately. No action needed on your side.

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel your account at any time from the Settings page in the dashboard. Cancellation immediately stops your bot, deactivates your account, and ends future billing. Any outstanding invoices remain payable. Open positions on AsterDex at the moment of cancellation stay in your wallet and become your responsibility to manage. There is no lock-in period.

Can LazyEye withdraw my funds?

No. The API Wallet you create only allows the bot to open and close trades. Withdrawal permissions are never required and should never be enabled. Your funds remain in your own wallet at all times.

Question 19

Is my API Wallet safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your API Wallet keys go straight to your own bot and are never stored in our central database. Only your bot uses them. Enable only "Read" and "Perps trading" permissions when you create the wallet. Never enable Withdraw. You can revoke and recreate your API Wallet on AsterDex at any time.

Question 20

What happens if the bot goes down?

Your funds always stay in your own wallet on AsterDex, so an outage can't put your money at risk. Exits are managed on our side, so an outage just briefly pauses active management; since the strategy holds positions and waits anyway, that has no real effect. The bot restarts and reconnects automatically.

Question 21

Should I enable two-factor authentication?

Absolutely. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA in your dashboard settings after your first login. This adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.
