How to deposit money into your wallet

To start trading, you need USDT in your MetaMask wallet on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Here’s how to get it there.

Recommended: start with at least $1,000. There is a small fixed monthly platform fee (€6 incl. VAT) that covers server costs even in quiet months, so on a very small balance it weighs relatively heavily. From around $1,000 it stays a modest part of your account. You can start with less, but keep the fixed fee in mind.

Option A. Buy on an exchange and send to MetaMask

  1. Buy USDT on an exchange like Bitvavo, Binance, or Coinbase.
  2. In MetaMask, copy your wallet address (the long 0x… address at the top).
  3. On the exchange, go to Withdraw and paste your MetaMask address.
  4. Important: Select the BNB Smart Chain (BSC / BEP-20) network. Do NOT use Ethereum (ERC-20) or any other network. Your funds will be lost.
  5. Confirm the withdrawal. It usually arrives within 1-5 minutes.
Tip: Always send a small test amount first (∼$5) to make sure the address and network are correct.

Option B. Buy BNB and swap to USDT

  1. Send BNB (on BSC) to your MetaMask wallet.
  2. Use a DEX like PancakeSwap to swap BNB for USDT (BSC).

This method works but is slightly more complex. Option A is recommended for beginners.

Don’t forget: you need a small amount of BNB for gas

Every transaction on BSC requires a tiny amount of BNB to pay network fees (called “gas”), usually less than $0.10. Keep $1-$2 worth of BNB in your wallet and it lasts a long time. Without any BNB, you won’t be able to deposit into AsterDex or approve trades.
