How to set up MetaMask for AsterDex
MetaMask is the crypto wallet you need to connect to AsterDex. Here’s how to install it and add the right network.
Step 1 — Install MetaMask
- Go to metamask.io/download and install the browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge).
- Click "Create a new wallet" and follow the prompts.
- Set a strong password and write down your 12-word seed phrase on paper.
Critical: Your seed phrase is the only way to recover your wallet. Store it offline in a safe place. Never share it with anyone — not even LazyEye support.
Step 2 — Add BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
AsterDex runs on the BNB Smart Chain. You need to add this network to MetaMask.
- Go to chainlist.org.
- Search for "BNB Smart Chain" (Chain ID 56).
- Click "Add to MetaMask" and approve the network addition in MetaMask.
- Switch to the BNB Smart Chain network in MetaMask (click the network dropdown at the top).
Step 3 — Get BNB for gas fees
Every transaction on BSC costs a tiny amount of BNB (typically less than $0.10). Buy a small amount of BNB on an exchange like Bitvavo or Binance and send it to your MetaMask wallet address on BSC. $2–$5 worth of BNB is enough for hundreds of transactions.
