How to create an API Wallet on AsterDex
The API Wallet allows the bot to place and manage trades on your behalf. It never has access to withdraw your funds.
Step 1 — Open API Wallet page
- Go to asterdex.com/en/api-wallet and connect your MetaMask wallet.
- Switch to the "Pro API" tab.
Note: You will see two "Session wallets" already listed on the API Wallet page. These are automatically created by AsterDex for the web interface and are always there. You can ignore them — they are not what we need. Make sure you switch to the "Pro API" tab to create a new wallet.
Step 2 — Create the API Wallet
- Click "Authorize new API wallet".
- Give it a name (e.g. "LazyEye") and click "Generate" to create a new wallet.
- IMPORTANT: Copy and save the private key shown on screen. It will NOT be shown again after you click Authorize.
- Make sure "Read" and "Perps trading" are checked. Set days valid to 365, then click "Authorize" and confirm in MetaMask.
You will need 3 values for the dashboard: Your Login Wallet address (shown top-right on AsterDex), the API Wallet address, and the API Wallet private key.
Security rules
- Never share your API Wallet private key with anyone.
- Never enable withdrawal permissions — the bot does not need them and they should stay disabled.
- You can revoke your API Wallet at any time from the AsterDex API Wallet page.
