How does the bot work?

The bot trades fully automatically on AsterDex perpetuals. It only opens Long positions (buying low, selling high). The bot uses trailing stops and smart position sizing to manage risk, and auto-compounds your profits. You monitor everything from our web dashboard but never need to intervene — the bot handles it all.

Can positions get stuck?

Yes. Sometimes the market moves against an open position. When this happens, the bot holds the position and waits for recovery. This can take days, weeks, or in rare cases even months. During this time the bot does not open new trades. This is normal behavior and part of the strategy — it’s also why there is a monthly flat fee to cover ongoing server costs during these periods.

Is using the bot risky?

Yes — investing always carries risk, and using our bot is no different. The bot does not guarantee profits. Never invest more than you can comfortably afford to lose. Read our "The Basics" manual for more info. LazyEye is not a regulated financial entity and does not provide financial advice.

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

We charge a 40% performance-based software fee — only when the bot makes money. In slower months (under $50 profit), there's just a €5 flat fee to cover infrastructure. A one-time €5 activation fee gets you started (both excl. 21% VAT). We built it this way so our incentives are fully aligned with yours — we only earn when you do. See the Pricing page for details.

Is it difficult to set up?

The hardest part is setting up a MetaMask wallet and connecting it to AsterDex, but our "How To Connect" manual walks you through every step. The bot itself is fully automated — once connected, it starts trading immediately. If you get stuck, you can always contact us.

What is AsterDex?

AsterDex is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Binance Smart Chain. The LazyEye bot runs on AsterDex Perpetuals — these are futures contracts without an expiry date. Your funds stay in your own wallet at all times. Visit asterdex.com to learn more.

Is my money safe?

Your funds remain in your own wallet on AsterDex at all times. We never have access to withdraw or move your money. The API Wallet you create only allows the bot to place and manage trades — nothing else. You can verify every trade yourself on the AsterDex frontend at any time.

Can I verify the bot's trades myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Since the bot trades on your own AsterDex account, you can log in to the AsterDex Perpetuals frontend at any time and see every open position, trade history, and balance. Our dashboard shows the same data, but AsterDex is your independent source of truth.

What is the minimum investment?

There is no minimum deposit on AsterDex. However, we recommend starting with at least $100–$200 to give the bot enough room to diversify across multiple positions. Smaller balances limit the number of trades the bot can take simultaneously, which can reduce performance.

Can I withdraw my funds at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your funds are always in your own wallet. You can withdraw at any time directly from AsterDex. Keep in mind that withdrawing while the bot has open positions may affect those trades.

Which coins does the bot trade?

Accepted Answer

The bot currently trades USDT-margined perpetual contracts on AsterDex. The specific trading pairs are managed by the bot’s strategy and may be adjusted over time to optimize performance.

What happens in a bear market?

Accepted Answer

The bot only opens Long positions, so a prolonged downtrend can result in positions that take longer to recover. The bot holds these positions and waits for the market to turn. In extreme cases, a position may be held for weeks or months until the market recovers. This is by design — the bot does not panic-sell.

Do I need to pay taxes on my profits?

Tax obligations depend on your country of residence. In the Netherlands, crypto holdings are typically taxed under Box 3 (wealth tax). We recommend consulting a tax advisor for your specific situation. LazyEye does not provide tax advice.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

You can deactivate your bot at any time from the dashboard. Once deactivated, the bot stops trading and no further fees are charged. Any open positions at the time of deactivation remain in your wallet and are your responsibility to manage.

Can LazyEye withdraw my funds?

Accepted Answer

No. The API Wallet you create only allows the bot to open and close trades. Withdrawal permissions are never required and should never be enabled. Your funds remain in your own wallet at all times.

Is my API Wallet safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your API Wallet credentials are transmitted over an encrypted connection and written directly to the bot server. They are never stored in our database and are protected with strict file permissions so only your bot process can read them. We recommend only enabling "Read" and "Perps trading" permissions, and revoking/recreating your wallet periodically.

What happens if the bot goes down?

If the bot experiences downtime, any open positions remain safely in your wallet on AsterDex. The bot does not use stop-market orders that could trigger during downtime. Once the bot restarts, it picks up where it left off. You can always check the system status on our status page.

Question 18

Should I enable two-factor authentication?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA in your dashboard settings after your first login. This adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.
